How Articles Helps for Website Traffic

If you want to grow your online business, you basically have 3 main tasks- recruit affiliates for your affiliate program, gain subscribers for your ezine, and make sales. If you want to accomplish these main tasks, you must advertise, and list in ezine directories and affiliate directories so that you may be found by other surfers.

Of course you will also be able to accomplish these task by sending traffic to your site. In turn accomplishing these tasks will also send traffic to your site. (I am not trying to confuse you. :-) )

Well the quickest most effective way to accomplish all of these tasks is to write articles! As I have said, there are a lot of ezines out there. All of them are searching for content for their ezines. You can help provide them with that.

The idea is to provide valuable content and include a resource box at the end of your article. Your resources box will include a 4-6 line bio about you, your company, product or service, and link back to your site. That is where the traffic comes from.

It is not hard to write an article. They should be around 500-700 words. First you must decide on a topic. Cover a subject that people are talking about right now. One that people want more information on. Take notes on that topic. You may need to research your topic. Organize your notes into an outline. This makes the article easier to write.

Divide your main points into paragraphs.Each article should have a beginning, body, and an end. Write or type your article. Follow the outline. Keep writing until you are finished. Create your resource box at the end. Don’t forget your name, brief description, and link back to your site.

Take time away from your article. Take a break and get completely away from it so that you may view it with a fresh eye. Edit. Check for spelling and grammatical errors, and rearrange things if you need to. Now you need to get this article to ezine editors. If you are subscribed to any ezines, search the issue for article submission guidelines. Very often the editors will make it clear exactly what they are looking for.

If the article submission guidelines are not clearly stated it is not always because this ezine does not accept articles. Email the editor and explain to him that you are a subscriber to his/her ezine and ask if they will allow you to submit an article for possible publication from time to time. Most editors will reply with yes, article guidelines, and the email to send them to.

Add this information to a contact list. You should build a list of over a 100 editors. Not all editors will publish all of your articles, so a larger list will help increase the chances of getting published.

Note: Some editors will clearly state that they only accept unpublished articles for submission. Do not add these to your list. Keep these addresses in a separate file and submit to them individually. You don’t want to send them an article that other editors are receiving in case one should agree to publish before the editor that wants exclusive content.

Do not submit that same article to another publisher until you do not receive notification that your article has been published or until after they have already published your article.

Only email submissions once per month- the editors receive a lot of submissions. Email them with their first name (Their name is not ezine editor) and let them know you are a subscriber and have an article for their consideration. Include a word count and a brief description.

Send the article in an email, not as an attachment. Don’t forget to tell them thanks for their consideration. Be sure to format your articles at 65 characters per line. The less work the editor has to do, the better the chances are of you getting published.

Getting Traffic by Advertising in Ezines or Newsletter

This is one of the most direct ways that you can advertise online. Newsletters, often referred to as ezines are like magazines online. Most of the time they are presented in a newsletter format rather than an actual magazine. But they have one very big advantage over most types of online advertising. They are very targeted to a particular topic. They are not paid for, except with a few exceptions such as financial and scientific ezines, but are usually sent free by the owner to their subscribers. The way that the owner makes money from their ezine is through advertising, either for their own products, or other people’s products that they have an affiliate link for, so that they get a percentage of the sale. it is a good way to make extra money. But you have to be very careful that the ezine audience is the same as you need for your product and if the owner gives you advice on how to write your ad you should listen, as they know their readers. But you should also start your own ezine by collecting subscribers from your site and from your customers. If you give them quality content and occasional offers, especially if you give them a good discount, then you will be
able to sell to the same readers again and again. But you need to make sure that the ezine is good so that they keep on reading. Ezine advertising is a really good way to start getting
good conversions for your products and when you start to get your own subscribers then you will behind to see your profits grow.
